Full Surgical Services for your Dog or Cat
At Sesser Animal Hospital, we offer full surgical services for your dog or cat. Each patient is carefully screened prior to surgery and anesthetics are specifically tailored to them. We recommend pre-surgical blood work so we can evaluate your pet's kidney, liver and heart function prior to undergoing anesthesia.

The surgical procedures we perform at Sesser Animal Hospital include:
  • Spays
  • Neuters
  • Emergency surgery (laceration repair, wound repair, foreign object removal)
  • Soft tissue/general surgery(i.e., growth removal)
  • Feline declawing (in cases where medically necessary or if all alternatives have been exhausted)
  • Orthopedic surgery

Our surgical procedures include:
  • Fully trained veterinary and assistant staff to ensure the safest, most efficient state-of-the-art procedures for your pet
  • Advanced sterilization techniques
  • Electronic vital sign monitors which are monitored at all times by trained staff
  • Intensive after-surgery care

During surgery, your pet is closely monitored by a knowledgeable, well-trained veterinary assistant who is also aided by digital monitoring equipment. IV fluid therapy and thermoregulation is provided for all surgical patients. Comprehensive pain management is utilized before, during and after your pet's surgical procedure to keep them as comfortable as possible. Depending upon your pet's specific age and medical condition, we may recommend IV fluid therapy during surgery to help bolster their blood pressure.

Our health care team members offer individual, compassionate pre and post-surgical care to each and every patient. We will always communicate with you after surgery to keep you fully informed about your pet's surgery, progress and recovery. Please ask a veterinary assistant or veterinarian if you have any questions regarding your pet or their surgery.
